World Cancer Day Collaboration

We, as artists, collaborate for a wide variety of reasons, to share our work, for fun and most importantly to pay tribute. We pay tribute to our favourite shows and movies but there comes a time when one needs to reflect on the more serious side of life. Cancer in all its forms takes on average 8 million lives per year and I feel it is fair to assume that most people have had a loved one who suffered through this horrendous disease. For this collaboration we memorialize these loved ones in our flowers as a symbol of our love for them and their ordeal. It is a tribute to those we have lost through cancer, those who live with it every day and those who have beaten it and of course not to forget the carer’s. We invite you all to view and enjoy the contributions and we would appreciate any feedback you would like to give. This year like the last one was held a '' Sugar Flowers and Cakes in Bloom collaboration'', which I'm taking part. We have all been touched by cancer at some stage throught our lives, or our loved ones, inclusive my familly ...

My tribute is dedicated for all those who have lost the fight and those who won´t quit the fight. In my arrangement the jasmine and hidrageea represent the grace of the survivors, the hope, the faith in divinity and perseverance proven every day in the battle with cancer and not letting the illness to define them ,they are the truly heroes of our time. I’ve also thought of the people who sacrifice their life to take care of others so in the arrangement I’ve chosen roses for the love they give, lavander for the devotion they show and magnolia because it represent the nobility of careers who believes in the healing power of humanity and humankindness. The Anemones represent the fragility of life and forget-me-not flower represent the memories of somebody we loved.

Noi, în calitate de artiști, colaboram pentru o varietate de motive, pentru a împărtăși munca noastră, pentru distracție și, cel mai important, să plătim tribut. Noi plătim tribut spectacolelor si filmelelor noastre preferate, dar vine un moment în care trebuie să reflectam la latura mai serioasa a vieții.

Cancerul în toate formele sale ia vietile, în medie, a 8 milioane de persoane pe an și consider că este corect să presupun că cei mai mulți oameni au avut o persoana draga care a trecut prin această boală înfiorătoare. Prin aceasta colaborare ii amintim pe cei dragi prin florile noastre, ca un simbol al iubirii noastre pentru ei. Este un tribut pentru cei ce i-am pierdut, cei care trăiesc cu boala în fiecare zi , cei care au invins și, desigur, pentru cei ce au grija sa le fie durerea mai usoara.

Anul acesta la fel ca anul trecut a avut loc colaborarea organizata de grupul ""Sugar Flowers and Cakes in Bloom '', din care fac parte. Toti am fost atinsi de cancer la un moment dat in viața noastră intr-un mod personal sau impersonal prin cei apropiati, inclusiv familia mea ...cuvintele sunt de prisos. Tributul meu este dedicat tuturor celor care au pierdut lupta dar si celor care nu au renuntat sa lupte.

În aranjamentul meu iasomia și hortensia reprezintă puterea supraviețuitorilor, speranța, credința în divinitate și perseverența dovedită în fiecare zi în lupta impotriva cancerului si care nu lasa boala sa ii defineasca, ei sunt cu adevărat eroii timpului nostru.

M-am gândit, de asemenea, la oameni care sacrifică viața lor ca să aibă grijă de ceilalti, astfel încât în aranjament pe acestia ii reprezinta trandafiri pentru dragostea de care dau dovada, lavanda e pentru devotamentul lor și magnolia, deoarece reprezintă noblețea asistentului, celui care se ocupa de ei in momentele grele si care crede în puterea de vindecare prin omenire și prin bunatate. Anemonele reprezintă fragilitatea vieții și florile de nu-ma-uita reprezinta amintirile celui pe care l-am iubit.
