Yellow isn't really one of my favourite colours but hey , we shall all exceed our limits. Today's post will be about mimosa and I'll make a separated tutorial about the rose and maybe another one about the cake and how to cover it with fondant.
Mimosa are really easy and addictive flowers. The dimensions and colors should vary for a realistic look. First you should take a piece of gumpaste, roll it between your hands into a small ball and insert a 30-gauge wire moistened with glue ( I made my own glue with cmc and water) into the ball, let dry over night. Next day paint your ball with a small quantity of glue and pass it through fine semolina, plain or coloured ( semolina+ powder color ). Asembly with florist tape the balls like a real branch.
